I-70 reopens at Eisenhower Tunnel after weather-related crashes

Westbound Interstate 70 reopened near Georgetown after white-out conditions and treacherous roads caused at least four crashes near Eisenhower Tunnel, according to the Clear Creek County Sheriff’s Office.

The highway closed at 2:49 p.m. and reopened as of 6:23 p.m., the sheriff’s office said in a post on X.

U.S. 6 is also closed in both directions over Loveland Pass for safety concerns caused by winter weather.

This is a developing story and may be updated.
