Now under new management, Serie A strugglers Parma will welcome Champions League-chasing Bologna to Stadio Tardini on Saturday.

The Emilian rivals clash with the home side battling for top-flight survival and their visitors still aiming to claim a top-four finish.

We say: Parma 1-2 Bologna

While Parma are free-falling, Bologna have gained confidence from recent results and are well-placed to inflict more damage on their local rivals.

There could well be a late twist at the Tardini, as these sides have jointly lost the most points by conceding within the last 20 minutes this season.

Top-four contenders Lazio visit Serie A strugglers Venezia on Saturday, aiming to boost their hopes of a Champions League return.

The Biancocelesti snatched a late point against the league leaders last week, while their ailing hosts suffered a third straight defeat.

We say: Venezia 0-2 Lazio

Even without a couple of key players, Lazio have too much firepower for lowly Venezia to handle – their squad depth has been evident in the Europa League.

Indeed, the Rome club have scored the most Serie A goals via substitutes this season (14) – while Venezia have netted fewest (one) – so, if needed, they can turn the game in their favour late on.

In the aftermath of their calamitous exit from Europe, AC Milan must try to boost their pursuit of a Champions League return by beating Torino on Saturday.

Milan return to Serie A duty after crashing out of Europe’s top competition, while Toro have had a week to reflect on the end of their unbeaten streak.

We say: Torino 1-1 AC Milan

If Milan were hoping for a soft landing after dropping out of Europe, they are unlikely to be provided with one in Turin.

Torino are tough to beat – and score past – on home turf, so the Rossoneri may have to settle for a frustrating draw.

After failing to take advantage of another slip from their Scudetto rivals, Inter Milan will aim to seize top spot on Saturday evening, when they welcome Genoa to San Siro.

Losing to Juventus in the Derby d’Italia cost them their place at the Serie A summit, and now an ex-Inter player is intent on causing more damage.

We say: Inter Milan 2-0 Genoa

Although Genoa know how to keep things tight under their current manager, they have also scored the fewest goals during the first half this season (five), while Inter have recorded the most (27).

Expect the hosts – also fired up by last week’s setback – to start quickly, then, before sitting in and coasting towards success.
