GRAYSON COUNTY, Texas (KXII) – UPDATE: According to Texas DPS a Denison man was driving westbound on US-82, with four children, ages two, three, seven and 11 in the car, when he braked to avoid hitting animals in the road.
Texas DPS said the woman driving behind the man failed to slow down in time, and her car rear-ended his.
The two year-old girl died at the hospital.
Both drivers, and the rest of the children in the car that was rear-ended, were injured and taken to Texoma Medical Center

A major crash shut down part of a Texoma highway on Friday morning.
The crash happened in the westbound lanes of US-82 near EC Blythe Rd.
According to Texas Department of Public Safety, two vehicles were involved and several people were taken to the hospital with injuries.
DPS said one child was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Texas DPS, Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, Sherman Fire and Whitesboro Fire were all on scene.
Our crew also saw a life-flight helicopter land on scene.
