Will Neymar play tonight for Al-Hilal vs Al-Wehda in Saudi Pro League?

The Brazilian has been linked with a move away from the Saudi club.

Tonight, Al-Hilal, the Saudi Pro reigning champions, will host Al Wehda at Kingdom Arena with the goal of winning and reinforcing their spot at the top of the table.

The host team will need to continue their winning streak and will be confident of securing victory in Riyadh after winning five of the last six encounters between the two teams.

Al-Hilal were predicted to win another domestic championship after winning the league with a commanding 94 points and no losses the previous time around, but this season they face a formidable opponent in Al-Ittihad in the title race.

Midway through the season, both teams are locked with 40 points at the top of the Saudi Pro League standings, but Jorge Jesus’s team has a slight advantage due to their superior goal differential, partly because of their 9-0 thumping of Al-Fateh the previous game.

As the team gets ready to split ways with Neymar. Al Za’eem are not showing any signs of slowing down offensively with an impressive 14 goals in their past two games and a league-high 48 goals this season.

Will Neymar play tonight?

Neymar will not play tonight in the Saudi Pro League against Al-Wehda as he has not been registered in the league squad by his manager Jorge Jesus due to his injury and fitness issues.

Reports suggest that Al Hilal want Neymar to participate in the summer’s Club World Cup. But Neymar believes it’s time to move and doesn’t want to wait until June to play frequently. He has only played in seven games in all competitions since his transfer more than eighteen months ago, scoring one goal.

Neymar has stated a wish to return to Brazil following a difficult time with Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia, where injuries curtailed his participation to just seven games with a single goal. According to reports, the 32-year-old great has shown excitement about the possibility of rejoining Santos, and the team has reportedly offered him a six-month loan to do so.
